Eligible Customers: People eligible for the Military Appreciation Incentive include active United States duty services 
members, reserves, retirees, or disabled veterans. Additionally, any service member within 2 years 
of separation qualifies with honorable discharge from one of the following United States branches: 
Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard, Space Force, Coast Guard.

A Military Retiree is someone who has served at least 20 years in a United States Armed Force.

Family including spouse and children are eligible but must live at the same address. Transferable 
within household only.

The name on the RDR has to match the name on the contract or lease agreement

There is a limit of TWO (2) purchases per person per year for the Military Appreciation Incentive.

Proof of eligibility is simple. Just visit your local Hyundai dealer with the following two things: 

*  A copy of your diploma or a letter from the registrar’s office stating that you graduated or will graduate
*  Proof of employment, such as a pay stub, or an offer letter from a prospective employer. Hyundai Motor Finance (HMF) must deem your salary sufficient to cover living expenses and vehicle payments.

You must be a graduate of a four-year university, accredited two-year college, or a nursing school. You must have graduated from a U.S. university within the past two years or be on track to graduate within the next six months. The offer includes graduates and graduate candidates attending accredited masters or doctorate programs.

First Responders Program

Customers must be active First Responders at the commencement of the program period.

First Responders are defined as customers active as Police Officers, Sheriffs/Sheriff Deputies, Correctional Officers, State Troopers and Federal Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters (paid or volunteer), EMT/Paramedics and 911 Dispatchers and their spouses.
 
Customers must purchase an eligible new or unused Hyundai vehicle from a participating Hyundai dealership.

First Responders Program Bonus offered by Hyundai Motor America towards the purchase or lease of a new or unused Hyundai vehicle through participating Hyundai dealers from April 1, 2020 through January 2, 2023. To qualify for the bonus, at the time of purchase or lease, you must (1) be active as a Police Officer, Sheriff/Sheriff Deputy, Correctional Officer, State Trooper and Federal Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter (paid or volunteer), EMT/Paramedic and/or 911 Dispatcher or a spouse of a First Responder AND (2) provide verifiable proof of active service and/or employment as a First Responder; (3) receive a salary sufficient to cover ordinary living expenses and payment for your new vehicle; and (4) receive credit approval from and execute a finance or lease contract through a participating Hyundai dealer. Not all applicants will qualify. On lease contracts, rebate must be applied toward the Amount Due at Lease Signing or toward the Capitalized Cost Reduction. Military Specialty Incentive Program

Payment Qualification:
• Ineligible vehicles include any vehicle not indicated as eligible or any other vehicle in which curtailment has been paid.
• Ineligible sale types include LSALE, INSUR, DBFLT, TDRIV, DBNLA, BRKR, CCP and ALTCP.

Claim documentation submitted after the respective date will be subject to rejection and will be assessed an Administrative Fee. A Payment Exception will be required for the VIN in question to be eligible for Incentive Payment after rejection has occurred. The Payment Exception is subject to certification.

Note: The dates indicated above are the date documentation is required to be submitted by the dealership via the automated system. In the event that these dates conflict with any other KMA system, the dates provided in this Incentive Bulletin will govern.

Military Program
• To be eligible for this program, Customers must be members in Active Duty, honorably discharged from, retired from, or on disability with the United States Armed Forces (including Reservists). Additionally, the spouse of those individuals is also eligible for this program. The eligible customer must be able to provide one of the following: a current Earnings Statement, a copy of honorable discharge papers or certificate, a bank statement indicating a pension or disability earnings from the United States Armed Forces or an official document indicating future pension eligibility. This includes those that have “national” status from another country and are serving in the United States military.

The following is clarification for questions regarding eligibility and documentation for the Military Specialty Incentive program.
• Members of the United States Armed Forces that are active, reservists, retirees, have received an honorable discharge or military members that are on disability from the United States Armed Forces, including spouses, and can provide a copy of one of the following: a current Earnings Statement, honorable discharge papers or certificate, a bank statement indicating a pension or disability earnings or an official document indicating future pension eligibility from the United States Armed Forces
• In order for a spouse to be eligible, they must provide one of the above listed pieces of documentation.
• Military ID of any type is not acceptable as proof of eligibility and must not be submitted through the specialty incentive automation system.
• The Military Incentive Program is not available to dependents, other than spouse, of the member of the United States Armed Forces.
• The Military Incentive Program is not available to Civilians working for the Department of Defense.
• The name of the Buyer/Co-buyer on the sale documentation must match the Registration, WebDCS reporting information, and all other documentation.
• The Specialty Incentive Claim Form must be completed in full and signed by the customer(s), as well as an authorized Dealership Representative.
• The date on the Specialty Incentive Claim Form must be consistent with all sales documentation and reporting information.
• A copy of the fully executed Finance Contract or Buyer’s Order for the new vehicle purchase must be included.
• When submitting the sale in WebDCS, it is necessary to indicate MILITARY in the specialty incentive section of the reporting process.
